take the Circulator (Georgetown) bus or the 38B Metrobus.

From points east of Georgetown:

Take Metro to Foggy Bottom (orange/blue line).

Walk approximately ten blocks, or take the Circulator, or most of the "30's" Metrobuses, to Wisconsin and M. 

Mall entrance is on the south side of M Street in the middle of the block.

From upper Northwest:

Take Metro to Dupont Circle (red line).  Take the "Circulator" to the corner of Wisconsin and M.

From Virginia:

Take Metro to Rosslyn Station (orange/blue line).  Walk across Key Bridge and turn right at M Street.

Walk three more blocks to mall entrance.  Or, take the 38B Metrobus or the "Circulator".
