This gorgeous fabric comes from a top New York design house. It is pleated with layers of paper, and we sell it in the "relaxed" state rather than stretching it out and flattening it. Mushroom pleats are random and may be tighter or looser pleats throughout the yardage. This fabric is reminiscent of Fortuny pleats, with the advantage of being washable and packable. It stays pleated. Pleated along the width of the fabric (horizontally), and can be used in any direction. 45" wide. Stretch it, fold it back on itself, twist it, reverse it. It forms beautiful effects such as the lettuce leaf edge seen on the gray/violet version of this fabric 100% poly, this fabric will retain its pleats for years to come with careful hand washing. The pleats run across the 45" width of the fabric. The ombre coloration is rich and versatile for evening. There are subtle shades of rose and mauve throughout. Garment image for inspiration only!
